  • I know this post is long but I promise, it is 100% worth reading so that people can be warned to stay far away from this place!!!! I wish there was an option for NO stars. When I lived here, at first, it was great! But then when the new management got there, it became an absolute nightmare. My husband and I wanted to transfer to a two bedroom unit, so we put in for it and got the process started. We got our transfer date and everything was looking good. Four days before the set date, my husband contacted the office to make sure everything was set to go. It wasn't, they informed us that we would not be able to move in for another month!!! And they had not given us any type of notice or expressed any urgency to tell us. I was furious. I had already called to switch over my electric, internet and everything. Our new move in day arrives, I assemble a crew of people to come help us move after they were off work and because I was 6 months pregnant, my husband wanted to wait until he was off work to start moving everything over. I headed down to the office around 3pm to get my keys. The front office lady asked "did you not get contacted about moving?" I said "What now?!?" She said, well we sent an e-mail today asking if we could push back your move in date because your unit isn't ready. They had sent that e-mail around 2pm THAT day! Ridiculous. The manager addressed that, that was wrong of them and said he would make sure the unit was ready by that evening, even if he had to clean it himself (sounds great, right?). This was after I had asked him if our washer and dryer was in there yet and he said "Oh, I don't think so. I'll have them put those in right now." He finally told us around 6pm that night, that we could move our stuff over because it was ready. So we started moving our things and as I was walking around checking things out, I started noticing that our apartment was no where near ready! At all! Our microwave didn't work, one of the showers only ran scolding hot water, there was no door knob for the front door (their maintenance manager had to actually go to Home Depot that night and get one for us when we asked about it. They didn't even notice!), there was a giant hole in the wall of one of our storage doors on the patio) the ceiling fan didn't work (yes, ALL of them did not work and this was in the middle of summer!) the dishwasher was not even mounted in at all, the kitchen sink leaked, the cabinets were not repainted so what was supposed to be white paint, was yellow from how old it was and there was food crusted on them. This is just the stuff I can remember off the top of my head. Mind you, this unit was a newly upgraded unit. What a joke! This whole situation ended up getting ugly after we tried being patient with them and the manager actually threatened to call the police on my husband! And the assistant manager was standing there telling him he's not allowed to say these things to husband. The manager ends up apologizing for everything he said and how he acted (he is EXTREMELY unprofessional) and compensated by not charging us for the last few days of that month because we moved about a week prior to the new month. It took him threatening to call the police and acting out like a child would, in order for him to finally compensate us for all the trouble. Our move in date was set for the 20th and we weren't even able to actually spend the night in our new unit until the 23rd. It was horrible! During those three days, one of their maintenance men actually busted through my safety latch on the front door of our unit that we were moving out of, to start moving out our old appliances to install new ones for upgrading, even though WE STILL technically LIVED THERE. They apologized and handled the situation and we moved on. After we fully transferred, there were even more maintenance issues! One that involved a leak under the bathroom the sink which had a horrible smell and I had to threaten to contact the department of health and safety for it to finally be taken care of. We also had horribly rude downstairs neighbor who would play his tv and music so loud, we would hear it through the floor clear as day and the floor would even vibrate! The management did NOTHING. The manager actually said to my husband "it's not my job", after my husband said it was his job to take care of noise complaints within the complex. DO NOT LIVE HERE. After all was said and done, they actually agreed to break our lease for us, for free after only living in the new unit for only 2.5 months. Getting out of there was the best decision I could have made! It was a complete and utter nightmare!!
