Bought a new HP Pavilion, used it about a month and suddenly got a blue screen. I tried to fix on my own but the blue screen would go on too quickly for me to get anywhere. Usually go to Simplified Computers but thought I'd give Fyxit a chance.
They charged me $65 for a diagnosis and their diagnosis was that I had a bad hard drive. I was dubious since it was brand new. They said they'd replace with a much smaller solid state for $185. They did advise that the computer was still under warranty and so I decided to give HP a chance.
HP had me run a few diagnostic tests, found the hard drive working perfectly, proclaimed that Windows 10 had been corrupted and suggested I do a recovery, which I did.
So far it's running fine and I have no reason to think Fyxit was right, or even in the ball park. Apparently Fyxit is good with cell phones and tablets, not so much desktops.
