| - I'm kind of obsessed with BLTs, and Colectivo knocks it out of the ballpark on this sandwich. Tons of savory, high quality bacon, tons of fresh red tomatoes, tons of fresh crispy lettuce, and plentiful avocado. The excellent sourdough bread (house made in Bayview, Milwaukee) is toasted, not grilled, as it should be. It comes with pesto mayonnaise, but I always order mine with regular mayo. Kind of a purist about that. Why gild the lily? There are other bread choices, and other excellent sandwiches, like the turkey Swiss BLT, which they gave me by mistake once. It was so good, I didn't even care. Comes with a bag of delicious kettle chips, all for $7 and change. You can't beat that. Oh, yes, they also serve coffee. Quite excellent coffee, in any type you could want. Bags to go, as well, plus lots of cool coffee related merch available. The design of the place is open and airy, seating options range from wingback armchairs to window stools to tables and chairs. Maybe bring ear buds of some type if noise bothers you, or you want to read, or whatever. Not a quiet coffee shop. Last random note: they have still and sparkling water on tap to enjoy for free.
