| - I REALLY love this setting.
The place is gorgeous, very well designed and open. The decor is very trendy, the Edison bulbs and fire station feel, the old cash register and the open shelving all add to the ambiance. The craft drinks were delish and well prepared, the solo bartender handled her bar and the tables, while a manager/chef greeted folks through the dining room.
I believe the place was relatively new when we visited, we were impressed with the whole spot, we used a Groupon to get some food and drinks, which provided even better value to our first visit. I had a burger, which was fantastic... fresh, melted cheese and onions made it very tasty. Wife had some tacos which she really enjoyed. No complaints.
I'm not much of a distillery pro, nor do I enjoy straight liquors, but if you are/do, they give tours and also have flights available on the menu. Certainly worth taking a gander!
I suppose my only reasons for avoiding the five-star rating, would be the beer situation and the price point. I believe they were in the process of installing a draft system, but it wasn't up and running when we visited. They did have a craft [can] beer selection available, but that is not really my style. I felt like the drink prices were a little higher than we would typically prefer, although i believe I saw happy hour prices which would certainly entice me to return. I should disclose that the spirits they used were very solid, so if you appreciate the top shelf stuff and value as such the drink prices shouldn't keep you away.
I will be back for sure, the environment and setup of this place is too awesome to not return. I will update this review if I see anything worth noting!
