| - I wish I'd checked the reviews before renting here. Like the many other reviewers both here and on Tripadvisor, the counter agent indicated that the vehicle we reserved through Priceline was "not available" so we could take an upgrade. Having experienced inventory issues at other car rental locations, we know that this is common practice, so we did. No mention is ever made of any charges associated with this. They have you sign 4 or 5 times, and you are on your way, having already paid fully through Priceline and completely unsuspecting that they are going to charge you an upgrade fee because they didn't have the car you reserved in the first place. According to Yelp and TripAdvisor, this scenario has happened multiple times at this location.
I truly wish I could leave 0 stars.
UPDATE May 7, 2018: After leaving complaints with the Better Business Bureau and through the corporate website, Budget finally made a full refund of the duplicitous upgrade charge. I'm upgrading my rating from my desired 0 stars to 1 star, because I finally got my money back, but the process was painful, overly arduous, and required getting the BBB involved as an advocate instead of simply providing customer service.
