  • I ordered my son's first birthday cake from here approximately two weeks before the party. I initially ordered something rather simple and amidst planning I decided to change it up just one weekend before. The staff made it very easy for me to modify/upgrade my order. I had several ideas and they were able to help me narrow it down to THE perfect cake for my baby boy's FIRST bday. I decided on an 8" round, single tier, simple safari inspired design. Keyword, simple. My boy loves giraffes so I stressed the importance of having the most awesome giraffe atop the cake with a party hat. I got EXACTLY what I ordered...everything totally edible and delicious as well. The cake we went with was a vanilla cake with strawberry and cream cheese filling. The frosting just under the layer of green fondant was nice too. The cake was surprisingly and satisfyingly moist and light...the strawberries were not too sweet and had a nice tart. Our party guest, myself and most importantly, my bday boy enjoyed the cake! I look forward to ordering future cakes...I still have to try this tres leeches everyone is raving about!
