I would likely give more stars for this place if the service and food reviews were better.
If I could give rankings on individual 'areas' of a restaurant and get a mediums number, I'm pretty sure this would fall in the middle.
The best thing about this place is the location/atmosphere. This is in a great place, just outside the uptown and super convenient to access. The vibe inside is relaxed, but fun. My favorite part is the rooftop deck complete with a large "U" shaped bar in the middle surrounded by various sized tables. There's roof access from inside and outside the building. There's a pretty sweet view and it's just a great spot to take advantage of lovely CLT weather
My visits were complete of four women on both occasions and service was mediocre. They weren't very busy, and we often found the servers standing around the register area...sometimes eating, sometimes touching their hair. Most seemed quite young.
The beer was priced accordingly as well as the meals. They're were everlasting different dishes ordered and none of them were raved over. The true highlight for me was their sweet potatoes fries - OMG!!! I'm not a huge junk food person, but when I have good food out in front of me...all bets are off. These things are magical. I would say they're in between a shoe string and regular sized straight cut fry, made of delicious sweet potatoes. They were perfectly cooked and I don't think even one of the big ones were soggy. I personally think soggy fries (sweet or regular potato) are THE WORST! These babies are on point.. I ate all of them, but left the chicken tenders as leftovers
