| - Great boutique hotel with tiny rooms which are redeemed by the cool modern decor. We loved everything about this hotel. It was clean, had a great pool with an AMAZING DJ, and the casino was the least smoky casino we've been to. The food was good and not too overpriced. I highly recommend the turkey bacon sandwich poolside--one of the better sandwiches I've ever had, there or anywhere. The overall vibe at this hotel was very relaxed and nice while also being fairly elegant. Surprising, for the price! Overall, the staff was excellent. The were only two bad points: The pool waiters wore SHIRTS in the blazing sun while the waitresses wore skimpy bathing suits. I loved the sexy bathing suits, but my wife was annoyed that she didn't get to see chiseled abs and defined pecs on the good-looking pool boys. She especially had a crush on a sexy Asian young man and would have liked to see his washboard six-pack (and I ain't talking about Miller Lite here!). ;)
Seems like there's a terribly sexist double standard at the SLS pool, so I hope management will take note and remember that more than HALF their paying clientele are women who would love to see some skin just as much as we men do. So take off those boys' shirts! Also, the bald pool bartender who looks like George Castanza had an anger management problem. We saw him throw an ice bucket because he was pissed about giving free water. Chill out, dude! You're living on some pretty good tips...
The second bad point was that the Uber pick up area was a cluster-f*ck. Half the time, the drivers went to the W hotel next door. The other times, they didn't know how to find the SLS at all. The hotel needs to get that coordinated. We were late to a few events due to the poor organization. So I suggest giving yourself extra Uber time and not cutting it close as we did. We almost missed our flight home.
Despite the minor negatives, our stay at SLS was an overall great experience. Just know that the rooms are small...so small that the bathroom is practically on top of your bed. If you're in a new relationship, you will be embarrassed by your gassy plopping sounds right next to your hottie's head. So be forewarned: This place is probably better for long-term couples where a toxic stench emanating through the room won't drive your sweetie away permanently. And if you hear people having sex next door, my advice is just to outdo them in enthusiasm and volume. Worked for me. ;)
