At one point in my life Nam's was literally my favorite restaurant ever and I picked up lunch from there nearly every day ( I work downtown). Since then I have tamed my passion for food lol and try to eat there less so I don't overdo it. Anyways, to this day I find it very hard to find good Chinese food in the Madison Area. However, nam's hits the spot for me. I know that it is a fusion place but I feel their food is much better than even restaurants that claim to be only Chinese restaurants. I have tried many things on the menu and have never really been disappointed. I am in love with their bubble tea (especially avocado) and refuse to buy bubble tea anywhere else in Madison, the same goes for their General Tsos Chicken. When I use to come to nam's just about every day, I had built such a great relationship with the wait staff that when I called they knew it was me and knew that I wanted my usual (General Tsos and Avocado Bubble Tea). I had a favorite waiter who made the best darn bubble tea ever. Nobody makes it quite like he did! Anyways, after he left the restaurant (for whatever reason IDK) I kind of stopped going because no one could make the perfect bubble tea for me anymore. After some time I learned to accept he wasn't coming back lol and started accepting bubble tea from other servers. At first I was judgemental and usually unsatisfied with other's Bubble Tea but I have come to be okay with it now (that or someone else is making it good again but I can't remember how the old fantastic bubble tea tasted like). Through all this, the food here stayed delicious though. I still love the general tsos chicken. I also really love their Vietnamese Eggrolls, Vietnamese sandwiches and they make probably the best fried rice dishes. I absolutely dread it when restaurants make lame and bland fried rice (just give me white rice in the case) but Nam's has got it down! My favorites are the mango fried rice and the Thai basil fried rice.
