Let me correct the impression that this store is over-priced or for tourists. It simply specializes in upscale Western wear, and they know their client well as they carry Double D Ranchwear, Tasha Polizzi, Johnny Was, Corral boots, Leatherock belts............western wear that is in great demand and some of my favorite lines. The only reason I have held back on stars is: #1 Let the client shop! i know what I am doing, and I don't like being followed the entire time I am shopping. I have no idea if the gentleman/owner thinks he is helping/selling/protecting his upscale stock from theft. The past three times I have been in the store - after driving 30 minutes - for the express purpose of purchasing something.......I have left because I can't THINK while I am answering his questions of "what/what color/do you like this/where are you wearing it?" If I stop and answer his question - "I'm looking for a white jacket" - and he keeps showing me white frilly blouses.....I am gonna give up and leave. Let me browse and visualize the item in my hand with the mental inventory of my closet. The store recently lost a purchase because I really need a new hat, and I just couldn't put up with being bugged while looking. I purchased a week later in Old Town.
#2: As a shopper who is familiar with these brands/styles - the owner also needs to know that his serious shoppers recognize last fall's merchandise......so why isn't it on sale......in August?? In fact, this savvy shopper may try it on for fit in the store.....but given the fact that its been all over the Internet for 50% off.......again - no sale. So, although I LOVE this store - the past 3 times I was dying to buy something, I left frustrated.
