  • So, with this place receiving so much fanfare I had to stop in and see what all the fuss was about. I arrived when almost all the donuts were gone but still managed to score a dozen with the help of my good friend. We walked right in and were greeted by the friendly and fun staff. We viewed the menu for the day and could not believe the variety of donuts. There were at least 20+ flavors to choose from and this included vegan choices which I can totally get behind. These aren't just donuts, some were like mini cakes and were almost big enough to cover your whole face (No Joke)! I had never seen such large donuts before and could not believe how creative these people are with the large variety of choices. We managed to score some delicious options, such as the Strawberry Split, Mexican Hot Chocolate, Blood Orange, Boston Creme, The Oreo Donut (with an Oreo inside) and a couple of creme brûlée'. My favorite donut from this batch was the Boston Creme. The creme oozes with flavor and tasted heavenly. The donut itself was moist and fresh. The creme was so rich that I found it a little overwhelming to eat in one sitting so I ate half the first day and finished it off the second day. Yeah, it was rough.... The Strawberry Split was layered with fresh strawberries and whipped creme in the middle of a large sugar donut. A different take on the strawberry short cake and perhaps a step up. I almost added a small drizzle of chocolate since I had it for dessert that night. I shared the other donuts with my staff and family and they were all very complimentary. My daughter really liked the Oreo Donut and was surprised when she found the cookie in the middle. The service was outstanding and so friendly. The shop is quaint and very clean with not a whole lot of room and it makes this place nice and cozy. They also have a new t- shirt for advertising that is available for purchase. It has a great color scheme and it gives a shout out to our city! I can hardly wait to go back early in the morning when the donuts are fresh out of the fryer. I think I can hear a Homer donut calling my name.
