| - This is a nice little casino. If your a video poker player, they have many 99% return games. They also have a very good cafe (more about the cafe, later in my review). Unlike many small casinos in Henderson, this casino looks new, modern, and inviting inside. They also seem to have installed a pretty good ventilation system, which does a good job in reducing a lot of the cigarette smoke. Now don't get me wrong, you can still smell the smoke occasionally (like all casinos), but it is not a lingering thick toxic cloud that suffocates you (like the Henderson Jokers Wild casino, and the Skyline casino). I only have two complaints. First, the cafe is frequently crowded and there usually is a waiting list. But, I can't really fault them for that, because the waiting line is due to the fact the cafe serves very good food at really cheap prices (I recently had the prime rib dinner and it was great for cafe food, in which you can get the regular cut for $10 and the large cut for only $12...and shockingly, when you order the prime rib medium rare, they actually serve it that way...unlike most casino cafes, which serve everything medium to well done, no matter what you ask for). The second complaint I have is their rewards program. If you want to redeem your points for cash, or a store gift certificate, the redemption rate equates to about 1/100 of percent of total dollars wagered (most other casinos offer at least 1/10 of percent, or more). However, Rainbow does offer multiple points days (as most casinos do), so if you gamble on those days, you can get a competitive redemption rate. The other issue with their rewards program is, they only allow you to redeem your points for cash a few times a year, and only if your a higher level card member. Finally, unlike most casinos, Rainbow does not send you free play/cash in their monthly mailers (I am at their second highest card member level, and I have never received any offers for free play or cash). But overall, this is a very good local casino, and I would recommend it to anyone.
