| - We stayed for two nights. I'm not really a fan of Days Inn's but we didn't have much of a choice as most places in Cleveland were booked. I chose this place because of the pool and "fun" area for kids.
When walking in it looked great, once you walk into the hallways its a different story. Very old and run down, some of the ceilings looked to have bulges in them, carpets were slightly stained.
We were in room 242 which had a balcony, which you share with your neighbors and has a stairway down to the pool area.
The room itself was fairly clean. Older, even had a tube TV not a flat screen. Most of the channels had a lot of interference as well and were not watchable. No fridge or microwave. Beds were clean. Ceilings kinda scared me, some stains on walls. Vent in bathroom didn't even have an option to turn on. Bathroom clean but in need of an update.
Beds were comfortable.
Kids loved the pool and arcade. Pool and kiddie pool were clean and enjoyable, hot tub for those 16 and over clean and enjoyable.
I wish they had better prizes for the ticket games in the arcade for kids. Once you redeemed your tickets it was attached to a vending machine. Which had little snacks, a few card games and some cars. Nothing worthwhile. And I don't know how long those snacks have been in there My girls really wanted to try the huge claw machine but it wasn't running while we were there.
Ice machines did not work, we had to go to the front desk to get some ice. Breakfast in the morning was good. Simple. Scrambled eggs, sausage, homefries, french toast, cereal, bagels and English muffins plus coffee, juice. The floor was really sticky in that area though.
Staff was always nice and friendly. Would I stay here again? With my kids, yes! Without them probably not.
