  • Love the icecream here but who doesn't love thriftys icecream. The reason for the 2 stars is because this place is dirty. Every time we go there the floors are gross and the icecream area always has old icecream all around the sides. The final straw was when we walked in one night and two employees were there at the time, one was in back and the other behind the counter sweeping. When she seen us come in she stopped sweeping which was nice but here comes the problem.... she asks what we would like and proceeds to pick up my cup to start scooping. I stopped her and asked her if she would please wash her her hands and give me a new cup? The employee was nice and said yes but as a customer that doesn't want to eat from someone's hands that just touched a broom I was pretty disgusted. Call me a clean freak but to me that's just not a clean way of handling food. Had we of not walked in and seen her sweeping, we would have had no idea that she was handling our food with unclean hands. Ignorance is not bliss and I don't want to feel uncertain about the cleanliness of where we eat.
