| - Well, my trip was paid for (so I can't comment on the price). Had a late check-in (around 11pm) and the hotel was 99% booked, so I got first floor room without much of a view, but it was nice (clean and pretty good, but not "super-nice"). I liked the lobby decor and the main pool... was there for a business conference. The staff was very nice... front desk was, in my opinion, very nice, and the front door/car/baggage attendant was extremely knowledgeable about the area (gave advice about hiking Camelback Mountain, how to get to local restaurants, etc...). You actually have a good view of Camelback from the front of the hotel, but it is partly obscured by another building. I do suggest hiking the Cholla trail to the top of Camelback (less than a mile away)... its more spectacular in person, but be prepared to be a little sore afterwards, unless you are a seasoned hiker. Round trip hike takes less than 3 hours. Since its on the east side of the mountain, you do get some shade if you hike it in the late afternoon.
