There are few things that the Hard Rock is doing right these days, but this restaurant offering located off the beaten path in the old corridor leading to the parking garage never disappoints. Last evening, while sitting at the nearly empty bar, I received exceptional service and a very well prepared meal.
The food: The 8 oz filet was cooked to my liking perfectly and was very tender and seasoned just the right amount. No steak sauce required! Success! Steamed dry asparagus was crisp and served in a plentiful amount; a quick dash of salt and pepper made this perfect. The baked mac n cheese was a solid side dish consisting of large elbow pasta cooked perfectly and smothered in baked cheese. The bread basket was so-so; maybe some work here but nothing to get all fired up about. The drink selections are fairly abundant however I had a hard time selecting a beer to enjoy, but that's just me being a beer snob.
The service: Always great service at the bar...no experience with the dining room. The bartender who is usually there, the one with just a few too many tats to work at stuffier locations, is always happy to see me and provides great service. Famous words..."No worries, I got you". That makes me feel special and that he cares. Of course then the bill comes and nothing is comp'd, but hey you're running a business not a homeless shelter cafeteria.
All in all a solid 4 stars.
