  • I came in this morning looking to purchase another betta to add to my growing collection. Customer service does not matter to me, but but the health of fish and other pets matter a lot to me. Many of their bettas were dead or dying and seemed to have swim bladder issues. They were also kept in cups smaller than I've ever seen! Petco and Petsmart give their fish more space to move and breathe, even as large pet stores. It was upsetting to walk around their store and see unhealthy animals. I'm giving the store 2 stars because while the presentation of the products and fish were lovely and welcoming to an enthusiast, the health of the fish was very poor and had I purchased a betta from them, the poor guy would have likely died tonight. I recommend inspecting the fish closely before you choose to buy. Their supplies were reasonably priced, so perhaps reserve your visits to getting supplies for your existing aquariums.
