| - Why even post reviews if clearly nothing is changing and it's obvious that the staff doesn't care about the condition of this hotel.
Upon underwing you will see the front desk staff, notice how I didn't say you would be greeted by them. They look at you with a "why are you here?" Look on their faces. Upon check in we were informed of the resort fee and the $100 cash deposit, to which my boyfriend didn't hear the man helping us and said "what?" And the man said "So do you have the 100 cash?" Very professional. One of the higher ups walked out of the office wearing work out pants and no shirt and walked behind the front desk. Again, so professional.
So we had to leave to get cash, upon returning the same man greeted us this time, helped us and then handed us off to the other employee to help another guest who was obviously his friend. At this point we had paid, put down the deposit and the woman we were handed off to asked us for the money...... We just gave it to the other guy, and she was standing there watching the whole time. Finally we get keys and head up the elevator, which is old, smelly (who am I kidding, the whole hotel is smelly) and seems like it's about to break down. We get to the room which is hot and muggy, but don't worry it gets worse. There is mold on the ceiling, the lock on the door does not work, there are stains on everything (floor, bed sheets, walls, bathtub, curtains, chairs.... There is crusty white stuff all over one of the chair cushions). Behind and under everything is dirty, it's like a run down hotel with new tvs and wifi.
I read other reviews and yes, the breakfast is eggo waffles, if you get there before the cooks come out and take it away. There's also white rice, because who doesn't love white rice for breakfast? By the way, don't even think about leaving the "breakfast area" with anything. There are signs on the wall saying you will be charged $10 for removing food, that I can understand, there's probably a lot of eggo thieves in this world. I went back upstairs with a cup of water.... Yes, a cup of water, and I was stopped by the staff and told next time I would be charged $10 for removing something from the breakfast area.
I also had the pleasure of being greeted by a cockroach in my room and ants in the shower. My friend came to pick me up to go out and they questioned him when he came in the lobby, asking him what he was doing here. I wasn't aware that I couldn't have friends over....
Sure the rooms are cheap, but this place isn't worth a penny of your money.
