I have been going to Brown Aveda for the past 4 years, I was super impressed with how professional the students were, and while service takes 3-4 hours longer than a professional salon I got great cuts and colors and they are at least $60-100 less than I pay at an another Aveda salon. However; their management staff seems to be slipping, in the past 2 years they are not as professional, more joking around with their students than instructing & critiquing. Also, lately they changed the student I requested and never told me till I showed up ( yes that is their policy, your not guaranteed a particular student) , my past 3 cuts and colors were really dissapointing, I had to go to a Aveda salon to get my hair fixed 2 weeks later, spent $250 on my hair within 2 weeks !!!!!End point if you have a skilled student spending an additional few hours is worth the savings but otherwise you can sit in that chair for 5 hours and walk out with results equal to a low cost salon.
