This review is a little stale. Its been a few months, but Sushi Roku popped up as a place I had not reviewed yet. The sushi? Great.
That's not what this review is about. Everyone at my table had been drinking, except me, the night in question.
We ordered up, I collected cash from everyone, and I paid the balance on my card.
When we got the bill back to sign - I noticed it was a little light. 10 dollars was missing from the cash amount. What ensued was a debacle of the waitress trying to tell me that I counted the money wrong (I didn't) and looking around under the table for the missing money.
I have seen this scam before, and I am sure it works great on drunk patrons. Not so great on sober ones. I didnt want to waste anymore time so I just took the 10 bucks out of her tip and we headed out the door.
She chased us down to tell us she found the 10 dollars under the table.
The same one we just looked under with flashlights while she was inside.
I have told several friends about this - and I dont think we will be back. I can only imagine how many other people have probably been ripped off like this. After all - it's only 10 bucks, who will notice?
This cheap bastard. That's who.
