I have a love hate relationship with place and mind you this rating is the overall experience including the food establishments located on the north side of this establishment.
Let's start with the good: this place is fairly organized compared to its Filipino competitor near by. I can usually find things easily just look on for the signs unlike the other place which is just organized blah. Since this place is new, it's very clean and visually appealing almost as if they incorporated some type of zen into the design. The visual appeal really does add to the experience. And for the most part the products they sell here have quality and you could tell by the brands, texture and color of the items. Correct me if I'm wrong, you shouldn't exactly expect Whole Foods quality? Finally, foot traffic here is minimal so it's easy to maneuver your shopping cart and check out is fast because there are no lines.
The bad: they lack a lot of items you could easily find at the other place, although this not a Filipino store even some basic things I didn't see? The food establishments are blah. I took advantage of promotion they had that consisted of a number of trays including fried rice and spring rolls. I don't want to get into detail about the food but let's just say it wasn't good. It basically defining "you get what you pay for." I like the bakery, similar to Taiwanese bakeries in SoCal (ahem 85 degrees) but all their products are the same the only thing different is that the toppings and such (i.e. Butter instead of cheese). I still like their products but I'm not as crazy about them compared to when they first opened. Lastly, their prices are a bit higher which can be attributed to the products being a better quality.
I still go here depending on what I need, but definitely room for improvement!
