  • I have earned my Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and am almost finished with my MBA at the University. Taking online classes is much more challenging than expected. A lot of the complaints you hear are from people who rushed through their loan process trying to rob the government of student loan money by using the University and then getting mad when they have to pay for their own mistakes. The scammer is these goaless sad people, not UOP or any other university for that matter. The University has a ton more resources compared to a lot of other forprofit and nonprofit colleges and universitys. Stuff for improving academic skills and preparation for a job. The Instructors I've had have almost always been exceptional with impressive resumes and thorough knowledge of the subject. The counselors are friendly and much more involved than an average school. Yes UOP is expensive but they are more than happy to direct you to alternative credit options such as testing out to help you achieve your goals as quick as possible. Its all about what you as a student are willing to sacrifice. Dont expect them to hand you a degree and dont go in thinking the government will just hand you money. Whats most important...is getting a degree to get a better job and I can say that I had a fair amount of interviews and found a job I love. In addition the learning experience at UOP made my transition into the business world easier.
