I had heard of this place a couple times from my Charlotte based colleges; and when I found myself with some time to kill I decided to give the Flying Biscuit a try. I was surprised to find out that they are a chain; I always thought it is a local independent joint. Anyway, I found myself a table at their patio and though it was only a Wednesday afternoon, they seemed to be busy. I ordered the southern style benedict without the turkey-bacon and a cappuccino - to be honest I was disappointed with my coffee. How can you possibly get a cup of cappuccino wrong? It was more like a cup of steamed milk with a hint of coffee. But when my benedict was brought out, I was a happy customer :) Two poached eggs served on southern style biscuits with a sundried tomato and basil gravy - very different from all the benedicts I have tried so far! If given a chance I would go back to try something else from their menu.
PS - Their grits are very rightly called creamy and dreamy :)
