  • Dear Bonterra, I couldn't help but notice that you've recently taken the initiative to leave warm responses to some of the negative feedback left here by valued customers. I'm writing here myself with the certainty that a representative of your company will receive my message, as will many future prospective buyers of your homes. I am also writing here out of desperation for your cooperation. As an owner of one of your extremely shoddy town homes at Steel Gardens in NoDa, I can't exactly quantify the level of disdain I have for you. How can those responsible for the reputation of your company even sleep at night, knowing exactly the number of people who have spent their life savings to make this place their home? I beg you, tell me how it is that you expect to maintain a reputation as a quality builder, when you have no desire to hold anyone accountable for insanely huge mistakes which you are fully aware of? Tell me, just how on Earth can you ethically justify your relentless legal battle with my community, as a successful attempt to avoid a simple repair of the shoddy craftsmanship you and your affiliates performed here just a few short years ago? You are a business comprised of real people, and we are a community comprised of real people dealing with the stress of rapidly increasing water intrusion in our homes. Please, put yourselves in our shoes and ask yourselves what would be the right thing to do. How long will it be before myself, my loved ones, my pregnant neighbor, or a young child becomes ill due to harmful mold in our homes that you built so negligently? For those of you who are considering a home from Bonterra Builders and were fortunate enough to happen upon this, please take it upon yourself to come take a drive around my neighborhood - Steel Gardens in NoDa - and see for yourself the quality of work Bonterra is performing. You'll find no shortage of blue tarps that serve as an attempt to slow water intrusion through roofs, balconies, and windows alike. You'll also find shreds of these tarps littering the neighborhood as they have been reinstalled many times over the past couple of years. Please just do yourself the favor and come take a look here before purchasing a home from Bonterra.
