| - My husband started care at this facility with Dr. Petrick by getting a referral from someone who had used them and saw good results. He was having back, neck and some issues with tingling fingers. He went on-line and filled out the information and finally after 3 or 4 days and not hearing from them, he called them to setup an appointment. The turnaround time for the appointment was within a week and they explained you would meet the doctor and be given a treatment plan to get you back into optimal condition. He went and said it was very informative and they did a special type of ART Therapy or Active Release Therapy, kind of like pushing your body into a pretzel to release tight muscles.
Dr. Petrick gave him a copy of his book, which we both read. He was impressed with how quickly he was beginning to feel better. He made another couple of appointments and was seeing improved sleeping, flexibility and generally overall feeling better.
Then they suggested he take a blood test for metabolic screening to make sure all horomones, etc are in balance and suggested he setup an appointment for a nutritional and workout consultation with Tony. He asked me to attend as I do all the meal planning and grocery shopping, of course I'm going to go and support my husband.
So, here's where I felt like I entered the twilight zone. I drove separately as he was meeting with Dr. Petrick prior to the nutritional and workout consult with Tony. I enter the office and introduce myself and sit down. Tony proceeds to go off on me about how America's healthcare system is messed up and Americans are lazy and they don't move enough, I start to feel really offended as he keeps using vulgar language whilst yelling the entire time which is totally unprofessional and unnecessary. Then he goes into a tirade about how in order to loose weight you have to workout 6 hours a day and you can eat whatever you want. Well, that goes against everything that Dr. Petrick outlines in his book about eating healthy organic food and working out, etc.
Then it gets ugly, my husband asks what he's offering to us and he gets offended and he says free advice. We were polite and patient, but after 40 minutes of being berated by a vulgar, misogynistic rant we decided to excuse ourselves. We went to speak with Dr. Petrick next door afterwards because we were confused and not feeling good about the consultation. It was not at all what we expected and was totally lacking any sort of professionalism whatsoever. He apologized and told my husband that he would continue his treatment plan with him. Two days later, someone with the Center called and cancelled all of his appointments with no explanation. Its not like he was verbally abusive, not following the treatment plan, not paying for the treatment, we didn't do anything wrong, still baffled by this entire experience.
