So we came here in september of 2013 and I'am writing a review now. lol. Why? you ask. bc I finally created a yelp account and was meaning to do so for the longest time. I still have a very good recollection of my meal and experience one night at this restaurant. It was our last night in Montreal and my wife and I wanted to try French food before we left. We chose this Restaurant on yelp. It was raining and we managed to trudge our way there. Once seated we were excited and expected the the best. But boy were we disappointed. Maybe the waiters sensed that we were tourists and thought that we probably would not or rarely comeback. Because the service sure seemed like it. I waited, as well as the other table next to us waited an eternity for our meals. It must have been over an hour and the table next to us got their meals. Half of the people at that table started eatting and the other half didnt. I finally realized why. It took the two other guests what seemed like an eternity to summon a waitress to let her know that they got the wrong order. And gave the dishes back. I made a comment on my wife that i felt bad for them having to wait so long and now they have to give the wrong order back and that I felt bad for the other folks that food was intended for. So 5 mins later the waitress shows up at our table with my wife's duck order and my steak tartar. It was then I realized the "other folks" was us, and I asked the waitress, were these dishes the wrong order at the other table before? She begrudingly muttered yes. I looked at my wife and didn't know what to do. I was hungry and didn't want to wait another hour to get my order done again, and said it's fine. I'll just take it. My wife and I weren't too happy after that. I touched my fries and they were cold, obviously bc they were sitting at the other table for 20 minutes. and they couldn't reheat tartar because its comes raw. I touched my wifes duck and it was warm, most likely bc waitress went back to reheat it. I ate this tasteless tartare mixed with 20 minutes of conversation spittle from a stranger. And my wife nibbled on her duck. The table next to us realized what had happened and apologized to us. I'm like no need. It's not your fault our order was sitting at your table, and you now have waited 1 hour and a half for your other order. At this point I feel embarassed for being such slob for accepting the dish from the waitress. As a very mild manner non confrontation person I was embarrassed for not fighting back and demanding another dish or walking out. I couldn't do that. I infact still tipped. But as I trudged back to the hotel still bitter and telling my wife that I would give them a review on yelp once I get back to the states. And here I am over a year later having created a Yelp account for another reason. I write this review.
