| - As time has gone on, I've become more and more selective about my 5 star ratings. In this case, there was no doubt that this is a great cafe, well-deserving of a top tier rating. First, the neighborhood: it's great to see a place like this in Troy Hill and Pittsburgh. The atmosphere is Pinterest-perfect, magazine ready, and comfortable. It was full, but not crowded. Bustling, but not loud. Iron & Wine, one of my favorites, was playing on the stereo while I was there so they get a star just for that. The coffee was quite good and you get a free refill. The breakfast sammie was stellar, really everything you could ask for in a sandwich, but the star of the show was the bacon tho.
All in all, this is the kind of place I'll take people when I want to show them what this town is capable of.
