We used to come here to Los Reyes De La Totra weekly. We all enjoyed the food. And one of my friends was a picky eater and he liked it here a lot. My friends always ordered various meat dishes tacos and enchiladas and one would get the steak. Everyone was satisfied and. Finished their meal with a smile. I would order the sopes usually 2. I would get mines vegan. Hmm they were ok. Not outstanding and not terrible either. The reason I was not loving them was because they didn't put hardly any thing on them............ Just beans and lettuce. Would have been more enjoyable if they gave them some love. Tomatoes, avocados, chillies. But no just lettuce and beans . At least the flavour was good (hand made fresh) not deep fried. Then after going there for several months; they revamped the menu and it included a plate for vegetarians. Which included nopales, beans and I think also a tostada. And I would at times order this and at times get my sopes.
Ahh before I forget...these sopes were not your traditional small tea cup plate size.......no no; they were big about the size of a small dinner plate. Also they didn't have the folded in edge like a traditional sope has. These were flat and thick.
Salsas were always good. And if you needed more they would bring you more no charge ah they serve corn chips and salsa no charge. Which is a nice touch especially if your hungry. Gives you some thing to munch on before you get your meal.
All the staff here at Los Reyes De La Totra. Were all always very friendly, personable and helpful. This is one place I sincerly do miss.
