This is the first place we take visitors when they come to Madison. We love to see the"shock and awe" on their faces when they see all the antique toys, flying puppets, games, carousels and other childhood delights crammed in cheek by Joel. It's a real Jewish deli, too. Very good food. They make the best matzo ball soup. We tried the blintzes as an appetizer because we were curious. They were creamy, not too sweet and served with a choice of fruit preserves. I tried the holitchkes - stuffed cabbage rolls- and they were meaty and flavorful with a delicious tomato sauce on top. The only negative was that the cabbage was a little tough. The portions were very generous.
