| - Like so many others, my home warranty company referred CNJ. They sent someone, who promptly said he saw mold and that they wouldn't replace the water heater until the box it stands on, was replaced. They then sent out Copper State Builders, who quoted $2000 to replace a water heater pedestal in the garage. He said he would gladly call my homeowners insurance and deal directly with them. Ya, I'm sure you will.
So, CNJ then promptly quoted $800 in "non covered repair work" that the home warranty company won't cover, which needed to be done in order to bring the installation "up to code". Well $800, plus the $500 they get from the warranty company, seemed ridiculously high to me, so I called a local, licensed plumber, who promptly replaced the water heater for about the same amount as CNJs "extra" work. I only regret that I had to give CNJ the service fee required by the home warranty co.
If you're home warranty company refers you to these guys, demand a different company.
You can read my review of the guy I did use, it's in my profile. That guy gets 5 stars by the way. He did NOT, by the way, find any mold in the walls!
