| - I bought a deal for 3 30min IPL photofacials. The technician spent 10 minutes trying to sell me other services which was called my 'consultation'. I had read the other reviews so I was ready for it and I politely declined. We went in for the service and after 5 minutes she said we were done. I pointed out that the deal offered a 30 minute treatment. She said the 'consultation' was included. I said that I did not ask for the consultation, which was only 10 minutes anyway. She said she could not do any more as it would burn my skin. I told her that I have had this done before and I have had it for 30 minutes before with no problem. She tried to tell me she was a professional and knew what she was doing. I asked to speak to the boss. Well, 'the boss' who was not the owner came in and basically reiterated what the technician said, but more angrily and would not let me finish one sentence, She then said that I should get a refund and she would give me $40 out of her own pocket. Then she left to phone the owner. There was another deal customer waiting for her service and had never had this treatment before. She heard everything. The technician was polite and still with me. I asked to see the woman who offered me the $40. I figured that I could save myself the trouble of going to the deal site and asking for a refund there, which I said out loud and the other woman waiting, agreed. She stormed out of the office saying she had just spoken to the owner and that my treatment was what it was. I asked her to give me the $40. She said that I shouldn't be asking for money. I said that she offered to give me $40 out of her own pocket. That shut her up for about 2 sec, and then she proceed to hurl insults at me calling me cheap, accusing me of not leaving a tip when, I hadn't left, my treatment was incomplete and the issue and not been resolved. I kept trying to discuss this matter with her in a calm manner but she would not let me finish one sentence, continuing to yell and say nasty things. The poor girl waiting was clearly not impressed and the technician was also uncomfortable with the way she was treating me. She then told me to get out as she walked away into the office or she would call the police. I was pretty much laughing at her but also in a state of shock, I could not believe that someone would speak to a client this way.
I think the machine is a hair removal machine and not an IPL photofacial machine. As I have said, I have had this done before and afterward there are immediate and visible results. A treatment consists of going over and over the area for at least 1000 pulses and you can see the difference. I have zero difference, if I did see a difference I could say I was wrong but there clearly is none.
I did read the other two reviews before purchasing the deal but since my treatment was different from the other and I can easily say no to the hard sell, I decided to go ahead and buy the deal. But what a rip off. And I am the person that if I have a positive experience, I will continue buying services from the place. Guess they don't know that about me. As I left I told them I would be leaving an accurate review on yelp.
AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE.
