| - My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights in June 2017. We are senior citizens and tourists from Philadelphia, on a pleasure trip. We got a suite, which was an excellent one-bedroom apartment with full kitchen. We paid $300 Canadian per night including taxes and fees. Considering how beautiful the suite is, I think it's a fair price and I would get the same room again. The suite is spacious, well-furnished, it has a microwave, refrigerator, full-sized stove, two good LG TVs, and in-room coffee, and the suite has a very attractive decor. We had all the comforts in our room, but the hotel does not have a hot tub. I would have enjoyed that. Hotel staff is helpful and professional. One thing we noticed about this hotel is that there is no lobby with seating. There's just a couple of corridors on the ground floor, and the hotel's front desk and concierge are located in the corridors. There is also an Italian restaurant on the ground floor, Via, which served us an outstanding dinner of spaghetti and meat sauce. Breakfast is free, located in a large breakfast room on the 2nd floor, but the food choices are just barely average. Outside, the public square, Phillips Square, is just a few steps from this hotel. The square and surrounding eateries and stores are interesting and convenient, but the square is not one of Montreal's best. There are some panhandlers hanging around in the square, which is not as well-maintained and not as well-landscaped as I would like. The underground city can be entered near the square. Historic Montreal is 10 minutes away by Uber car, which is how we got around the city during our stay. The Metro is about 3 blocks away from the hotel, and it can also be used to get to the historic section of Montreal. This is a good business-style hotel, but in my next visit to Montreal I will probably choose to be located in the old city.
