  • I usually go here just to drink the $3.50 pints on Monday nights, but I occasionally come by during tap takeovers and other such events. There is always an enormous selection of craft beers as well as the mainstream national brands. There are always a plethora of options to choose from, no matter what type of beer drinker you are, novice or (perhaps self-described) expert. Particular attention is paid to local breweries, but beer comes in from across the country and beyond. The food is almost always excellent. They have a charcuterie board that varies as market dictates, and their pretzels and bratwurst are delicious. Usually I end up ordering a side of fries, which are thin cut and crispy. I will mention that I did have one bad experience with fries where, when questioned, the waitress admitted they had run out and were using grocery store frozen fries. However, I got a full refund and apologies. The atmosphere is nice, cozy, and interesting people are always milling about. Busy nights include the weekend as well as Monday nights, due to their wonderful $3.50 special, but it's still very easy to hear your friends and get your order in quickly when it's busy. If you're from the area or live near another Flying Saucer, joining the UFO club is a must. If you get 200 unique check ins for beer bought at the Saucer, you get your name on a plate on the ceiling and a free party with free beer. Can't go wrong. Parking can get congested on busy nights, but due to its strip mall location, there's always somewhere to park.
