| - These guys are total scammers. We rented a car for $11.00 a day US through Expedia for two days, and they charged us $72.00 US for the rental. Expedia says our bill should not have exceeded $48.00. The guys at Economy insisted we needed to pay for additional, third party, insurance we did not want, and we have never been asked for before by any other rental company. We've rented plenty of cars. As it turns out, our existing - basic - car insurance policy covers third party insurance, and I'm sure many others do, too. The guys behind the desk never mentioned we might have it through our car insurance. They never suggested we check our policy. When we questioned the man behind the counter, he smiled and said "Everything is clear on Expedia." It's true, the company does say they need to have third party liability insurance on Expedia, but this is very clearly a set-up to up-charge. My guess is that most people have this insurance and don't even know. It felt like a dishonest omission - an excuse to charge us for something we did not need. Clearly, we are not the only clients who have felt like this company has taken advantage of them. And the man's answer that "Everything is clear on Expedia," suggests this happens over and over again. We will never rent from here again. These travel websites should not allow them to advertise dishonest prices.
