  • Swank Hair Studio has a beautiful interior- the seats are comfortable, the design is beautiful but the professionalism at this place is what made me never go back. As soon as you sit down at this gorgeous salon, the first thing you hear is rap/hip hop music with a lot of profanity. What kind of ambiance is that?! Melissa, the owner, was dressed in very short jean shorts and a tank top and looked like she just rolled out of bed.The majority of the time she was on the phone, talking about personal issues instead of engaging the customer. She kept referring to an event that she had to go to afterwards, as though it was a bother that she had to be doing hair on a Saturday morning. She wasn't complaining when the checks rolled in though. My stylist (Stephanie) told me that my total was $180. When she mentioned the cost to the owner, the owner quickly added on another $30 charge for a supposed toning that I received. It is such bad business to tell a customer the total they owe and then add to it. I walked out of there paying $240 for my hair !!! The stylists work is absolutely amazing, I will give them that. They really know what they are doing, but to treat customers like that, especially new ones, is wrong. No amount of beautiful work can make up for the lack of care and customer service they showed us.
