After a fantastically disappointing debut (and finale) trip to Koyoi across the street where our entire party bafflingly ended up hungrier than when we arrived, we decided to test out the Red Bench's cookies and claims of Toronto's best FroYo.
The space is very nice and rich in the aroma of freshly baked cookies, which was a plus. We all tested out a few FroYo flavours, and then split up - two of us grabbed some make-your-own cookies, while I slow-poured myself a big 2-flavour bowl of Peanut Butter/Raspberry Frozen Yogurt (intending to simulate a frozen PB&J sandwich).
The yogurt was delicious, though I wouldn't say it went above and beyond any of the other FroYo places in the vicinity. The cookies were ready in minutes, and I tried both the varieties made by my friends - one fluffernutter and one oatmeal. Decent!
I'd say it's worth checking out. The yogurt prices are market value and they offer the same toppings you'll get anywhere else, but maybe you want cookies too? Maybe you want a frozen yogurt and cookies and a hot tea? Well, promise me you'll be careful mixing all those hot and cold things in your stomach at the same time. My girlfriend always tells me I could die from this. And I'm inclined to believe her since she never mixes hot and cold and lives to tell the tale!
