  • I feel like I arrived pretty late to this party. At least we're there now! Clearly it was better late than never. I held off in the beginning because past experience with Argentinean restaurants had been underwhelming - typical seemed to always be piles upon piles of mediocre meat. Well I stand corrected! This isn't what they deliver at Gaucho. Here you get incredible flavors infused into their meat dishes with well thought out sides and enhancements also packing a punch for your taste buds. We had the good fortune to sample 3 of their dishes at a Yelp Elite event held at The Pittsburgh Winery. The guys from Gaucho were memorable in personality and their food was absolutely unforgettable. I ordered their skirt steak which comes with a salad and bread at their restaurant the other day and honestly I may have to order it several more times before I'll be able to stray to other menu items. Yep, that perfect! I have no idea how much effort goes into making that skirt steak taste this amazing but I know I certainly will be eating this again & again! It came served over mushrooms and onions that were also infused with all that flavor. Home run! It's very obvious that the team who works here love what they do and their enthusiasm is pretty contagious. They are beyond thrilled that something they enjoy doing so much has been so well received by our city. They started off with such a small space that it's been tough to get in - another reason it took us so long to get here. Soon that will change when they expand their space next door. It's a classic success story: start small doing amazing food, crowds will come & you grow your business. We will return to Gaucho & next time it won't take so long!
