  • Mert's is a quality uptown soul food joint that keeps me coming back, expecting more and usually getting it. I've licked my fingers to their beef ribs, generously garnished in their house BBQ sauce. I also love their cornbread, not quite up to Mom's, but a far sight better that many one might fine in a similar restaurant, and It has always been hot when served to me, always a plus. Mert's does their wings up right, large and in charge, providing big chicken eating to a big appetite. Always worthy of a return visit. I also love their old school atmosphere, as they keep your attention, scanning the walls for something new that you might have missed on a previous visit. I have found the staff friendly and most attentive to your wants, especially when the hot sauce runs out...
