  • We went here tonight for the first time since I was craving a burger and we've been meaning to check this place out. It has a cozy atmosphere: dark, some leather chairs and mis-matchy furniture, candles, a gas fireplace at the door, good music... We were told there would be a wait, but we were more than welcome to sit at the bar. We were fine with that. Just after we received our drinks at the bar the hostess came over to ask us if we'd mind sitting in the lounge, a table with couches as seating. We gladly took the table in lieu of waiting 20-30 minutes as we originally planned on. We closed our tab at the bar and were seated in the lounge. The couch was comfy and we were happier with the couch than a standard table and chairs, since we were having a date night and we were away from the other patrons, able to sit next to each other :) We had a pretty entertaining time reading through the food menu, and the drink menu. It's written hilariously. I decided on the I Can Has Bacon Cheezeburgher (the title! gah!) and my date chose the Thanksgiving Burger (the actual comical name escapes me). My cheeseburger was delicious. Piled with delicious bacon and cheese, and came with pickles, onions, tomato and lettuce. It was wonderful. I've had many a charred to the point of burnt disgusting burgers in this town and this burger was not one of them. I ordered the fries with it, though I was offered a plethora of options, and the fries were delicious. Crispy, salty, delicious. On the other hand, the thanksgiving burger was MUCH too spicy. In the rosemary spice kind of way. Way too much seasoning. His breath was pretty ungodly the rest of the night, and he didn't particularly enjoy it. As far as service goes, I specifically want to note that we were well taken care of the whole night. Our waitress as attentive, we never had empty glasses of water or drinks and were not in need of anything. She brought our check when we asked, and it took a few minutes for her to come back to charge our card. Another staff member saw that it hadn't been done yet, came by and took care of it for us without our asking. So either they've been reading the Yelp reviews about service or we were there on a good night.
