| - More than just a meditation center, this is a vibrant community built around a healthy mind, body & spirit. The cafe is great...Even if you're not taking a class, just to sit and read a book or hang out. Everyone there is friendly and welcoming.
I've tried several instructors and classes, and they've all been wonderful. The level of people this center attracts is fairly high...For every beginner, you've got several people who have been on the path awhile, and yet no one thinks they know everything or "have the one answer". Everyone seems to welcome the diversity and I've been a part of many a conversation where we thought we were so far apart, and ended up realizing we were talking similar concepts, just using different words.
One of the things I like best about Ganesha Center is that they haven't pushed anything on me. Yes they have memberships, but they mentioned them once and then left it up to me. They have a small retail shop, but none of the classes I've taken have "required" us to buy anything from there. They encourage you to keep coming, of course, but they don't require membership to take classes, nor do they require that you buy a "package" of classes. It's all pretty free-form and low-key. Love that.
