I was initially impressed by this store. Everything was so neat and organized. The produce looked fresh and the items in the refrigerated section were surprisingly organized as well. Unfortunately, what I experienced while checking out made me drop my rating to a 1.
I stood in line and noticed that another check stand had its light on like it was open, but there were no customers in line and no cashier behind the register. I politely (emphasis on the politely) asked the cashier from the line I was standing in if the other register was open. She verbally gave me no response, just a blank stare and pointed over towards two other workers.
I turn to the two workers and repeat my question. One of the employee's states
"I'm busy right now showing her something". She then continues training the other worker on how to stack merchandise on a shelf that was near the register. I then asked the employee who's doing the training. "Well, can you at least answer my question"? She looks irritated and tells me "She'll be right with you". I stood there a few more seconds and the lady who was being trained walked behind the counter (finally) so I could make my purchase. Just a note. It's never ok to keep a paying customer waiting while you are performing such a trivial task. Second, I probably wouldn't have minded so much if the employee had enough professionalism to be respectful. Instead I was met with irritation and pure RUDENESS because I interrupted her during business hours training session. This occurred on Saturday April 14th at around 10:50 AM.
