Yes, indeed. I'd been putting off 'light shopping' for our major reno project for weeks. I'd looked at the bigbox hardware stores and was unimpressed with the selection and underwhelmed with the service.
Carrington is the nearest lighting store to our house. We stopped in there hoping it would be worth it. The selection is fantastic - and I do mean there are pieces there that are straight out of someone's fantasies - really! And if you were alive in the 70's the retro lights will either make you laugh or scare you silly!
After doing the walk through to see what they have, and narrowing it down a bit, we stopped at the desk where it was our good fortune to find Jennifer. She's a quiet woman who really knows her stuff. I sketched out our rough floorplan and described what I had envisioned. She very gently told me there were much better ideas available. Who knew?
She gave us some really great advice, educated us about light fixtures, things to pay attention to, light bulbs - the whole works. In the end we purchased all five fixtures and a case of the special bulbs we liked.
Would I shop there again? In a heartbeat. They are a little more expensive than the aforementioned bigbox stores, and they are worth every penny. Jennifer earned her paycheque with us today. Thanks Jennifer!
