It's an outstanding trail for a quick 1.2 mile stretch to the summit. You wind up maneuvering your way up about 1200ft in elevation from the start to the top of Camelback Mountain. The average person can get to the top in approximately 1 full hr. I found the trail to be misleading at times, but it's just so fun that I can't really fault the overall experience for said inconvenience.
There are spectacular views of the Phoenix Preserve Area, but especially of Squaw, Baldy, and Piestewa Peaks. A very nice view of Two-Bit Peak and Mummy Mountain in its entirety can also be noted once your hiking adventure has mid-pointed at the top.
Excellent exercise with such rapid incline/decline which brings up hydration levels. I'd bring a gallon of water and call it good. 4 bottles of water minimum if you want to go all out in summer heat for a full-body workout.
All in all, great time and will be back to enjoy the time well spent outdoors communing with nature while simultaneously making time for some well deserved exercise.
