Hmmmmmm... Oh My, that's not so good!
Dinner for four Saturday evening. Entrance a little tricky to find. Had reservations. Promptly seated.
How do we categorize the restaurant atmosphere? We concluded with contemporary, romantic (if the table next to you was not rowdy... in our case, it was.), trendy.
Menu not really exciting. Many would call it bland. Skipped appetizers... yeah, that's not a good sign! Stuffed mushrooms? Very contemporary!? Too many main courses with mashed potatoes and carrots. You read that correctly: add brown gravy. Diner food? I didn't say that, but it might be accurate. (Diner, not dinner!)
Meats and cheeses on the reverse side of the menu? Complicated to figure out and order. Actual product was not impressive in either presentation or taste.
Desserts? Little quirky. Key Lime Creme Brulee? Only a little bit eaten.. Chocolates... in-house made (??) some good; some terrible.
Wine? Some reasonably priced. Many you never heard of.
Parking validation gave us 2 hours free. Very nice gesture.
Staff were friendly. David Greenberg, Director of Operations was nice, but indifferent.
No marketing skills. Perhaps no interest in the future.
Summary? Confusing menu, overhyped by the server. Bland food. Nice atmosphere.
For the location one should experience a magnificent dinner. Not happening. This is the opinion of the four people who dined there on Saturday evening... prime restaurant time. Disappointing.
Not an easy review to write because we went with good expectations.
