  • I became aware of OneGuard (formerly Service One) Home warranty company when we moved from Texas to Arizona in 2010. Our realtor recommended the company. Thankfully, we did not have to make an inordinate number of claims despite the fact that the house we purchased was 12 years old. However, they made the claims process easy for the most part. When we moved back to Texas in 2012, I asked if they covered Texas - specifically the neighborhood we were moving back to; they did, so we requested them as part of the contract for our new home. We've had to call them a couple of times for warranty work, but they are wonderful to work with and they are quick to get someone out to take care of the issue(s). I just had to place a call this morning. I spoke with Justin. He was great! I was following up on a previous issue - for which he was amazingly helpful and I was telling him I was debating about another item. It's an appliance issue and I wasn't sure it was worth the service call fee... while they may be able to fix the issue, we just don't like the dishwasher anyway, so I was debating about just replacing it instead. Justin explained all of my options - many of which I was not previous aware - in regard to the potential repair call. So, we scheduled the call. I feel better educated, as a consumer, after talking with him. If you live in Arizona or Texas and are looking for a home warranty company, I highly recommend OneGuard. They have lots of package options as well as custom add-ons to make your home warranty work for you. As a consumer, I have confidence in them and my past experiences, while not all of them have ended the way I would have preferred, I feel like they do everything they can to take care of their customers. I feel bad only naming Justin... I have spoken to so many folks there over the years... everybody has been very helpful and most importantly: when they tell you they will look into something and call you back, they ACTUALLY call you back.
