| - My fiancé and I moved to Vintage a year ago. At the time we were really happy with the property, the amenities and the staff, especially Kim and Ann... About 4-5 months ago is when our issues with this place started. They implemented a new rule that rent had to be paid online. Which is fine, I know how to work a computer, but in error I somehow double clicked or entered wrong information and I was charged twice for one month's rent, which was over $1600.00. I immediately called to see if there was a way to back it out or refund the additional amount paid. Their answer was no and that I had to stop payment through my bank and and repay the rent through them. So not only was I charged a non-sufficient funds fee through my bank, Vintage also charged me a fee!! And all of this happened before the 4th of the month so it's not even like I was late with rent!!
Essentially I was PENALIZED for over-paying my rent! Now as I stated, all of this my error but regardless, the way the office managers handled the situation was not good. And if this is the system they are going to use they should have control over things like reversing, editing or refunding charges.
As many have stated, the manager and assistant manager can be rude, crass, and insensitive!! I understand they have a business to run but they totally lack empathy, and are not at all helpful with the residents. We have gotten pretty comfortable here, and planned to stay at least another year or more, but because of several less than favorable run ins with the office staff, we decided to move on..
