I live in the Southside and have been going for a little over a year. It is literally the only full-service gym in the Southside.
First off, Parking is a problem; if you go on a weeknight after business hours, you will either have street parking or pay for a Garage. Contrary to what other folks are saying about the heat, I think it colder than a gym should be. They blast all the fans and if you are working out under one it can be difficult to break a sweat.
The gym itself is pretty average. Multiple Treadmills & Ellipticals on the 2nd floor. You really never have to wait unless its after business hours early In the week. The 1st floor has plenty of free weights and machines for each body part. Again, during the busy times it can get tight which is frustrating. Its a younger crowd, mostly college age and young professionals adults but mostly everyone is respectful.
The bathrooms can become dirty with the amount of people coming in and out and you are lucky if you get a paper towel. I wish it had a pool or a basketball court or even a jogging track but as other folks have said its limited space. Bottom line, it gets the job done.
