| - This is the first time I bought a car at CarMax. I was trading in my Pathfinder for something a lot smaller and more fuel efficient. The sales consultant was not pushy, thank goodness. On my first visit, I did not find a car I liked on the Henderson lot. Plus, the trade in value that CarMax gave for the Pathfinder was a little under the KBB. I asked to see a car located at another CarMax location, and the sales consultant ordered the free transfer. It took 2 days.
(Meanwhile, I went to Subaru, but they also didn't have the car I was interested in ready to be viewed or driven.)
CarMax contacted me when the car I wanted to test drive was available. I drove it, but did not like it. As I was leaving the lot, I saw a mini cooper s that I liked. It had low miles, a good mpg and was a great price per the Kbb. I test drove it & decided to get it. The sale was quick and easy since I was not financing the purchase.
All in all, I was not initially impressed with the car selection at Henderson and was a little disappointed in the trade in value for my Pathfinder. However, the sales rep was not pushy, everyone was very friendly, and the transaction was smooth.
