  • One of the saddest things about pet parenting is letting them go when they're ready... My sweet dog, Duncan, who had been with me for 12.5 years told me it was time, so I made an appointment with the lovely folks at Alta Vista. These folks were ALL so kind and compassionate during a very sad time. They respected Duncan's dignity, treating him gently and giving him a lot of loving touches and soothing tones. I didn't get any names but am so very grateful for them during this difficult time. I stayed with him as he slipped away and watched tears form in the Vet's eyes as he checked his heartbeat. This experience was not unexpected as Duncan had been failing for a few months but a less positive experience would have made it much harder. Thank you, Alta Vista. You are all angels!
