Although originally coming here for the Winterlicious '15 menu, we opted for the regular menu instead. We ordered chicken pot pie, steak and chips, and mussels to share. My chicken pot pie was alright, but it lacked a sort of zing and flavour to it, so it tasted a bit bland. I was told the steak was about the same thing but the fries were done well.
The mussels were cooked with white wine and tomatoes which did the mussels well. The mussels themselves were small, but we didn't mind as the portion size was reasonable. I'm not sure if the mussels were part of a daily special or something like that, as it wasn't on their menu but written on a chalkboard.
Overall, the atmosphere, as well as the charming and friendly bartender made our dinner enjoyable (and also to the fact that we were seated by the booths and away from the family diners). I'll definitely come back to try their brunch menu sometime or some other appealing dishes on their menu (including dessert!).
